My sister, Meredith, who contributes here on Cleverly Simple is sharing today how Aquaphor’s diaper rash cream has made a real difference for my cute little nephew. Check out her experience and make sure to enter the giveaway at the bottom of this post.
Meet Levi. He is my happy and highly kissable 4 month old son. I took this picture during our camping trip last week. I just laid him on some grass and started snapping. He smiled like usual and delighted us with his signature giggle. It doesn’t matter whether he’s being passed around, strapped to a back or adorned with glitz and jewels from his two older sisters, he is one laid back little guy! Well, most of the time…
I just took this picture of Levi after his bath when those pesky dry spots start to appear on his body. Not so happy anymore. The worst is on his bottom…and why not? If I had a bulky diaper attached to myself down there all hours of the day, I’d be in a bad mood too! It seems diapers turn his soft bottom into a rashy bottom and no amount of cuddle can ease his woes.
My favorite skin remedy for the past couple years has been Aquaphor. I’m sure you’ve heard of it. My second daughter was born with severe eczema from food allergies and her allergist recommended applying their healing ointment twice daily. It made a huge difference for her skin and now we all use their ointment. Even little Levi…except when it comes to his bottom. Like most moms, I use up old diaper creams leftover from the last kid. Nothing special and unfortunately, nothing changes.
Just recently, Aquaphor finally came out with a Diaper Rash Cream!! Say What?! It has the same healing formula as their other creams and ointments, but with added zinc oxide and pro vitamin B5 to prevent, soothe and treat diaper rash flare-ups. It’s not greasy at all and rubs on silk smooth like one of those expensive lotions at fancy cosmetic counters. Yet it’s less than $7 a tube and as always, preservative and fragrance free. Thank you Aquaphor!
We’ve now become an Aquaphor family and keep ourselves stocked with most of their products. You will be amazed at what they have on the market now…Their healing ointment in different shapes and sizes, a lip repair balm strong enough to keep Old Man Winter at bay and now a new line of baby products: Diaper Rash Cream and Gentle Baby Wash and Shampoo. I haven’t had a chance to try the wash yet, but I’m expecting great results – especially for our daughter with eczema.
The reason why I’m writing this post for you is that the company sent me a package in the mail with this sweet little onesie to decorate for Levi. In his world, it’s totally worth displaying the love for this diaper cream. The package also included some decorative supplies, so off I went!
I added some fun stencils, an iron-on glittery whale and a little monkey for the chunky in him. Now bring on the puffy paints! Reminds me of the ’90’s when my own mother would outline holiday transfers on sweatshirts with lots of puffy paint and fabric glitter! This was just as fun of a project….
Ta-da! Meet Levi again. After just one application of the diaper cream, he is back to his usual, smiley self. And I’m smiling too! My babe is adorned in a onesie decorated by his puffy paintin’ momma and wearing it over a supple, soft and rash free bottom. Seriously, what’s not to love about this?
