5 Best Ways to Use the Target Cartwheel App
Who’s a Target shopper? It’s no secret that I like to shop at Target. I typically shop there to find deals on Organic snacks for our family. For example, this past weekend we were at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. Before heading up North, I stopped by Target to grab some of my favorites for our kids. While I was there I browsed the clothes and the decor items. Since I was there without the kids, I used my time at Target as mommy’s time out. I love to think and dream of how we’ll decorate our home.
But on to more important things! How do you save on those items you need at Target? You can clip coupons which are a good thing. You could print coupons from the web and that’s also a good thing. But my favorite way is to use their free app called Target Cartwheel. Here’s a few ways I use it to maximize my savings while I browse Target as my mom’s night out. 🙂
1. Save On Produce
There are not too many produce coupons out there. However, I almost always find produce coupons on my Cartwheel app. This particular trip I wanted to buy some strawberries to take for snack-time. I was excited to find a 5% off berries coupons. By simply searching for produce under “food” I can easily find what produce items to buy that week. There were 11 coupons for produce just in the Cartwheel app!
2. Save on Apparel
I love the ability to save on apparel items. I found these rockin’ bibs! (Do you call them bibs or overalls? Am I showing my age?) While there was no coupon for them, I did find a great coupon for dresses. Since I could use it on any dress, I found quite a few that I liked.
3. Easily Find Coupons By Trend
After I complete my list at Target I usually go to the Cartwheel app and click on “trending”. I like to see what coupons are doing well. This very easily tells me what other people think is worth using. Just a quick look and I can find great coupons for items I might need.
4. Easily Find Coupons by Discount
I also always check the discount. Why? Because sometimes I’m willing to purchase a product because of the discount. When you’re going to save 50% OFF, it’s sometimes totally worth buying!
5. Find your savings by Scanning
If you do nothing else, scan, scan, scan. Everything that goes into my cart from my list gets scanned. Sometimes you don’t realize that the product is listed as a coupon until you scan it. It’s so easy to find relevant coupons and extra savings. Once I scan the item, it will be show me whether there is a coupon. And if there is, it will load for me. All that is needed it the ability to click “add”. On this shopping trip I scanned some juice boxes. I thought they didn’t have a coupon since the picture was a large container of juice. However, when I scanned it the app told me that it did in fact work with the coupon. (The fine print also says it’s valid, but that’s much harder to catch, in my opinion.)
Once you’re done shopping using these tips. you’ll click on the little upper right hand scan picture. Your Target cashier will scan your account and your discount will be applied. It could not be easier!
Have you tried the Target Cartwheel app? If so, what’s your favorite way to use it?
