Well, here’s a big bummer for all of you Dayton and Cincinnati shoppers. Effective March 1st, Kroger will end double coupons in the Dayton and Cincinnati markets. Instead of double coupons, they will reduce prices on 3,500 items in store to offer savings.
Please note that this DOES NOT effect our Central Ohio stores as they are part of the Great Lakes Region. However, I do think this is a great opportunity to voice our desire to keep double coupons in Central Ohio Kroger stores! You can comment here on the Kroger Facebook page or call 1-866-221-4141.

I feel for those customers in the Cincinnati and Dayton areas of this change. I was reading the many comments they posted to Kroger’s Facebook page and boy, they are making some noise! Many said they are taking their businesses elsewhere (Meijer, Walmart). I really count my blessings that my grocery stores here in Cleveland still doubles coupons…at least 4 now! We know the “Extreme Couponing” show and those who abuse coupons is helping make this all possible! Kroger will lose money from this. Honest couponers are not only doing it to reduce their food costs for their families during these challenging economic times, but also to help extended families and others in need via foodbanks and hunger centers!
