Giant Eagle contacted me about doing a review of their NEW Giant Eagle Greek Yogurt. Being a yogurt fan myself, and having jumped on the Greek yogurt bandwagon a few months ago, I decided to try their seven flavors.
No review would be complete without the help of my mom, so I enlisted her to help me as well. She’s the real Yogurt queen as I barely think she goes a day without her dairy treat for lunch.
Giant Eagle Greek Yogurt comes in seven flavors:
Pineapple
Black Cherry
Strawberry
Peach
Raspberry
Vanilla
Plain
The first thing we noticed about the Giant Eagle Greek Yogurt was that the texture was more like “regular yogurt”. It didn’t have that grainy thick taste that you find in some brands of Greek Yogurt. So, if you’ve shied away from this protein packing, 0% fat yogurt because of the typical Greek texture, you’ll want to give Giant Eagle Yogurt a try.
Of all the flavors, my mom and I both agreed that the peach was our favorite. This of course was after we realized you need to stir the yogurt. There’s fruit on the bottom! The pineapple was a short second as both of these two flavors tasted the most “real” if you know what I mean.
I can’t say that there was one flavor I didn’t like. However, when I do buy more I will probably buy just peach and plain – as I do like to add a little honey and fruit to my yogurt to add my own twist.
