My little toddler-man is turning three this week.  Where did the time go?!  We’re planning his family party and so I thought I would share a few ideas we’re going to try to keep this party on a budget!  As you can see, we have quite an Independence Day theme happening!

We’re planning on making Red and White and Blue Chex Mix.  I bought star glass “bowls” at the Dollar Tree and plan to put this yummy mix in them.

In addition to the Chex Mix, I’ll be making these with the toddler-man’s help this weekend.

And for an easy festive drink – we’ll be coloring ice cubes!  I’m going to make red and blue ice cubes and then we’ll just have 7-UP on hand.

As you can see, I’ve chosen simple party additions that can be made with little hands.  They may not end up looking as beautiful as these pictures, but I’m sure the memories we’ll be making will be worth it!

Stay tuned for the results next week!

Your little guy is going to have a great party! Your going to love the strawberries! They are the best. I haven’t tried the colored ice cube thing yet. My kiddos would love that I bet. And your patriotic chex mix looks awesome!
