These sweet and tangy cream cheese cookies are super easy to make and have a delightful fluffy texture. The sweetness of a typical cookie, combined with the tang of cream cheese and crunchy pecans, make these a unique vintage recipe that is sure to please!


  • 1 Cup butter, softened
  • 6 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 Cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tablespoons milk
  • 2 Cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 Cup pecans, chopped


  1. Preheat oven to 350˚ F.
  2. In a mixer, cream together the butter and cream cheese for 1 minute on medium speed.  Beat in the vanilla and eggs.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the salt, flour, and pecans.  Add to the wet ingredients until well incorporated.
  4. Drop batter onto a greased or lined cookie sheet.  Bake for 15-17 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden brown.  Let cool on the cookie sheet.


Size of Cookies – The baking time is based on using a medium cookie scoop.  A medium scoop is 1 1/2 tablespoons per cookie.  You can adjust the size but if making smaller, make sure to adjust your baking time.
