Fall is my husband and I’s favorite time of year. I love it because of the leaves changing and the cool weather. He loves it because football is back. And with football comes some great eating. I decided to dig out a family favorite easy baked buffalo chicken dip recipe to share with you. I want to warn you. It is addicting. But since I am in for long hours of football on TV, I might as well enjoy making some of my favorites to enjoy. Right?
Now, as you know we’ve had quite a busy late summer into fall. With the farmhouse renovation, I have time for just about nothing. In fact, grocery shopping has been quite weak lately. That’s why I was excited to hear that specific Walmart stores have an online grocery shopping option. It sounded perfect!
I took the items I needed for the buffalo chicken dip, and visited Walmart here to order everything. In fact, I ordered it the night before I needed it when the kids were in bed. Bliss.
Right now code REALEASY will take $10 off your $50 order. And ordering is free. There is no fee!
I decided to swing by and pick it up the following day after I picked up my son from preschool. I was able to select the hour in which I felt would be the best pick-up time for me. It felt so good to check something off my “to do” list.
Since this was the first time I’ve ordered groceries online with Walmart, I wasn’t too sure where to go. However, once I arrived it was easy to see where I would pick up my groceries. Can I tell you how excited I was to pull up and not have to go inside the store with my cranky and hungry preschooler?
In case you’re wondering, you pull into a specific parking spot and dial the number. Someone was out to my car in just a few minutes.
… and they loaded the groceries for me! I kind of felt bad about it. But she was so sweet in loading everything for me. She showed me the produce to make sure everything was as I would like it. Produce was the one thing I was little nervous about ordering, but the strawberries and celery I ordered, were perfect. Now, if I could just take Walmart home with me to unload the groceries and cook dinner! 🙂
Here’s a bit of what I ordered. I also grabbed a bottle of wine, a new baking dish and produce. So easy! Ready to make the dip? To make this easy baked buffalo chicken recipe, you will need:
Marzetti Chunky Blue Cheese dressing
2 12 oz cans of chicken breast, drained
2 8 oz packages of cream cheese
1/2 cup of Frank’s original hot sauce
1/2 – 1 cup of cheddar cheese (not pictured)
Celery and tortilla chips for dipping
Mix the chicken and hot sauce together and place in a baking dish. Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 – 12 minutes. This helps marinate the chicken with the hot sauce.
While the chicken is baking, mix together the cream cheese and and blue cheese. If you like a little bit more of a bite to your dip, you can add more blue cheese. I personally, think the 1/2 cup is perfect. Spoon the mixture onto the baked chicken. Bake for another 10 – 12 minute or until the edges are bubbling. Top with cheddar cheese!
Seriously easy and delicious! Serve with tortilla chips or celery sticks (I just stick them right in there so they’re easy to grab.) Enjoy!
If you’re looking to avoid shopping for your next appetizer make sure you check out Walmart’s online grocery shopping option. You can find out if it’s available in your area by visiting here.
