how to make Homemade cheese crackers I’ve got an awesome game day snack for you to try!  These homemade cheese crackers are SO GOOD.  They’re so good I’m not going to make them again until I’m entertaining, because I ate way too many of these babies.  I need someone to share with me.  🙂  I’ve never made a homemade cracker in my life, so when I had the opportunity to make a recipe using Crystal Farms cheese, I was all in.  For starters, I love cheese.  Anything with cheese ends up being a winner in my book.  And so because the big game is happening soon, I decided to make these crackers.  And YUMMY.

What I like about these crackers is that they have protein because of the cheese as well as calcium.  Plus, Crystal Farms cheese is a natural product with few preservatives.  I really felt like they were filling.  And the bonus factor… my kids LOVEd them.

To make these cheese crackers you will need:
Crystal Farms cheddar cheese (located in the refrigerator dairy section)
flour
red pepper flakes
melted unsalted butter
salt
crispy rice cereal

Mixing cheese to make cheese crackers Mix the flour, salt and red pepper flakes together.  Add the Crystal Farms cheddar cheese and mix well.  Crystal Farms cheeses are gluten free and lactose tolerant.

Cheese crumbles for cheese crackers Add the melted butter and mix until the mixture is crumbly.

How to make cheese crackers Mix in the crispy rice cereal. I had to use my hands during this step.  The mixture is still a bit crumbly but packs well at the same time.

Making cheese crackers Take a little bit of cheese cracker mixture together into your hand and roll in to a ball that is about ½ an inch wide.  Flatten with a fork or with the palm of your hand.

Bake for 30 minutes at 300 degrees fahrenheit.  I highly recommend baking them on parchment paper to avoid any sticking. These were a huge hit with my family.  I hope you enjoy this homemade cheese cracker recipe!
