How To Grill Chicken Drumsticks

Chicken Drumsticks are delicious when cooked on the grill.  What’s better is that you will routinely find them on sale or even clearance.  When I find chicken drumsticks on sale, I place them in the freezer.  Once we’re ready to plan our grilled meal, I let them thaw in the refrigerator.  It will take 24 hours!  But once thawed, you can marinate them and cook them deliciously on the grill!  It’s an easy dinner for a hot summer day!

BBQ grilled chicken drumsticks are delicious as well, however it’s much easier to burn the chicken with the sweet sauce.  That’s why I love using this method with Italian dressing.  It’s so easy and the dressing crisps the skin which makes these extra yummy.

Description

Create grilled drumsticks with one simple ingredient – besides the drumsticks. 🙂

Ingredients

Drumsticks
Italian Dressing

Instructions

1.  Place thawed drumsticks in container with at least 1 cup of Italian Dressing.  Make sure all surfaces are covered with dressing.
2.  Let marinate overnight in the refrigerator.
3.  When ready to grill, fire up the grill to LOW.
4.  Place marinated chicken drumsticks in pre-heated grill on low with the lid closed for about 30 minutes.  Turn the chicken drumsticks approximately every 10 minutes.  Make sure the juices run clear before serving!

Notes

Drumsticks can be different sizes and thickness.  Pay attention to the small drumsticks as they may need to be removed before the larger ones.
