Lemon Tea Cookie Recipe
I’ve been a bit obsessed with tea lately. It might be that I’m watching Downton Abbey again from the beginning since I saw the series finale a few months back. It also might be that we’re in the process of moving and stopping for “tea” sounds like a peaceful time amidst the chaos. So, what I’m really saying is that I’m fascinated by the British in the 20’s and I’m exhausted from working on our house and I need a break.
Soooo….. the best cookies to go with tea!!
If you’ve ever watched someone drink tea all fancy like, you know they enjoy a few treats as well. So, today I’m sharing with you a Lemon Tea cookie recipe that is oh’ so good.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar. Add in the eggs and beat well. Mix in the lemon juice.
Add in the flour, baking soda, and baking powder all at once and mix together until no flour remains.
Roll the dough into small balls using your hands, dip each of the balls into a light coating of sugar.
Place on a parchment paper covered baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees F for 10 minutes.
I hope you enjoy these lemon tea cookies during your next tea time break.
