Last weekend we post-poned the $100 a room makeover. Instead we decided to spend a whole lot more money and remove cemented-in-the-ground fence posts. Fun! 😉
And for the record, by “we” I mean my father and my hubby. (Please ignore the kitchen sink. You have one in your backyard too, right?)
We recruited high school boys to help. We fed them pizza slathered with meat and gave towards their Young Life camp trip they’re headed to in June. In return they gave us their brute, young strength. (Notice the shed? It’s now gone as well.)
I took pictures.
… of lots of worn, cracked treated wood. On Facebook you all mentioned that old wood can be used for crafts. Unfortunately, we couldn’t give this stuff away. It was pretty gone, cracked and weathered.
Trust me, I would have liked to have not paid for a dumpster.
But at least now, I know John loves Jennifer. How romantic. You had me at dumpster. 🙂
This weekend we’re working on trimming down the back area that wasn’t mowed while the house was for sale. You can see it peaking out in the back of the picture above. Stay tuned for more pics of our adventure in fixing up
a foreclosure our home.
(By the way, if you’re in need of a dumpster in the Central Ohio area, we highly recommend American Hauling. They were professional, on time and priced competitively. I have no affiliation with them, just wanted to share a local company that’s great to work with!)
