Thrift Shopping Online
I’ve shared the items that I’ve bought while shopping the thrift stores. But did you know that there are many places to get the same thrift prices online? As we’re heading into spring, I’ve been thinking about what I need to be buying for my boys, my husband and even myself. I like to get a few new pieces each season to freshen up the ol’ wardrobe. These selections include dressy tops for any conference I’m going to or when I’ll do a segment on TV. They also include comfy pants, because let me be honest – it’s what I wear most days. I also like to do this within a budget and so I shop online thrift stores first before I tackle our local stores.
When I’m looking for gently used items, I really like to go online for a number of reasons. My local stores are great for household items or even LEGOS like I found here. However, I sometimes don’t have the time to go through the racks and racks of clothing. That’s why I shop online! I typically focus on tops, shoes and handbags when I’m shopping for myself. I really like to try on jeans and dresses personally. When it comes to my boys and my husband though, anything goes. Sizing for men and boys is completely different. Doesn’t that just annoy you? It does me. My husband can just go online and know his exact pant size and it fits every single time. We need a revolution in women’s pants so that we can do the same!
But I digress…. 🙂
Here’s my 3 favorite places to purchase clothing while thrift shopping online.
1. ThredUp
ThredUp sells kids clothing as well as women’s clothing. They started out with just clothing for kids. I’ve bought jeans for my boys there before as well as shoes. I love their prices and how easy it is to search for their sizes. I tend to focus on kid’s clothing when I venture over to ThredUp. If I had girls, I would totally be checking out their summer dresses right now. They have really cute options for phenomenal prices!
If you’re new to ThredUp, you’ll get a FREE $10 credit just for signing up here. You’re welcome. 😉
Shop THREDUP Here and get a $10 credit if you’re a new customer.
2. GoodWill Online
Did you know that you can shop online with Goodwill? Goodwill lists unique items online from all over the country. You can bid on items and purchase without stepping into the store. I like to browse their antique selection every once in awhile. However, since we’re talking about clothing, you’ll be excited to know that they have thousands of clothing items online to bid on. Check out this Coach purse that is new with tags. I don’t think a lot of people know about Goodwill Online which is why it’s a great place to check out!
If you’re looking to add to your wardrobe this spring, make sure you check out these online thrift shops. It’s a great place to start before you head to your local stores. I love that I can get quality brand name apparel items for a fraction of the cost. AND, I still get the convenience of shopping online!
3. SCHOOLA
Since first sharing this post, there’s a new website that I’ve used as well called SCHOOLA! Not only do you save on school clothes but part of your purchase goes to your local school! SIGN UP HERE. You’ll get $15 to spend!
Sign up HERE to get a $15 credit to Schoola if you’re a new customer.
What other places do you like to try thrift shopping online to save money on clothing?
