Easy Traditional Homemade Stuffing

Traditional homemade stuffing made in the oven - without the turkey!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Cup onion diced
  • 1 1/2 Cup celery diced
  • 1 Cup butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 1/2 Cups chicken broth
  • 2 eggs large
  • 12 oz sage and onion bread cubes
  • 6 oz plain bread cubes

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350˚ F.
  • In sauce pan combine butter, celery and onion.  Sauté over medium heat until the onion is translucent.
  • In a large bowl combine all ingredients. Mix well.
  • Bake in a 13x9 pan for 10 to 15 minutes covered.  Remove cover and bake for additional 15 -20 minutes or until stuffing is heated through.  Serve immediately.

Notes

If you like your stuffing more moist, add more chicken broth. If you like your stuffing more dry, add less.  This recipe is completely customizable!  The stuffing does dry out a bit while baking, so you want your stuffing to be more moist then you prefer when you start the baking process.
