Notes
Expert Tip: Beating the batter for a full 3 minutes allows the ingredients to fully incorporate and you’ll see the color change as you mix. This may sound like a lot of time, but it’s important for the best results. So use a timer to ensure you beat the batter for 3 whole minutes.Refrigerate: Once your old fashioned chocolate apple cake has cooled, store it in the fridge in an airtightly sealed container. It will keep well for up to 5 days.Reheat Instructions: To reheat, place a slice of the cake in the microwave for about 20 seconds. Be careful not to overheat as it can make the cake dry.Freeze: Unfortunately, this cake doesn't freeze well due to the moist apple pieces in it. They can become mushy and alter the texture of the cake when thawed.
