Ingredients
1Cupall-purpose flour
2teaspoonsbaking powder
¾Cupgranulated sugar
½teaspoonsalt
2Tablespoonscocoa powder
½Cupmilk
2Tablespoonsbuttermelted
1teaspoonvanilla extract
¾Cupnutschopped, optional
¾Cupbrown sugar
½Cupcocoa
1 ¾Cuphot water
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350˚ F. Grease an 8x8 square baking pan.
Sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, and 2 Tablespoons of cocoa. Add the milk, vanilla, and butter. Mix everything together until smooth. Add the nuts (optional) and pour into a greased square baking pan.
Mix the brown sugar and ½ Cup cocoa powder. Sprinkle over the batter.
Pour the hot water over the entire batter and bake for 40-50 minutes or until done. Let cool for 10 minutes.
