Pinned It & Made It :: School Papers Organization Box

School Papers Organization

Are you looking for a way to organize all the papers, pictures and priceless works of art your child created this year at school?  This week I made an item I had pinned MONTHS ago.  However, it was perfect timing to get things together since my 3-year old finished his first year of preschool.  Now what to do with all that stuff?

I was inspired by this pin and knew the School Papers Organization box would be perfect.  I wanted something to keep the papers together but also something we could use for years to come.

What you need:

Plastic Filing Cabinet with Lid
Hanging Folders for each grade

What to include in each file?

CD of pictures from that school year
School Portraits
Favorite Art pieces
Grade Cards
Reports

I labeled each file with a grade level.  (I only went up to 8th grade since I don’t want to think beyond that, yet.)  Included in this year’s file is his Pre-school binder, CD of pictures and my favorite artwork.  This file has really helped me to decide what to keep and what to let go of.  My goal is to give him the entire box when he’s an adult.

How do you organize your school papers?
