Bringing Joy to the Table At Our Farmhouse This Holiday

I did it. I decorated our table for the Holidays already. And I’m not sorry about it. When Cracker Barrel sent me their new dinnerware, I was in love.  And since we’re not hosting Thanksgiving at our home, I decided to go all in decorating our farmhouse table for Christmas.  I just can’t get enough of these plates.

Did you know that Cracker Barrel sells dinnerware sets? Their plates are exclusive to Cracker Barrel and I think they have the versatility for Thanksgiving, Christmas and throughout the year. In fact, I used the mugs for hot apple cider this past week when we had friends over.

Let’s take another moment to talk about how cute these mugs are.  Seriously!

Okay, now let’s talk traditions.  This will be the second year that we host Christmas dinner at our home. Last year we had just moved into our farmhouse after a lengthy renovation. Our decorations included a Christmas tree and…well…that was about it. There wasn’t anything fancy on the table because we didn’t have time for that. I was just grateful I had my kitchen put away so that we could cook dinner.

This year I’m excited to add some Joy to our Table with a complete Christmas centerpiece and holiday plates. For the centerpiece I used a piece of barn wood from our barn and topped it with holly and berries, candles and an owl from Cracker Barrel.   My sister Meredith will be joining us with her family so my entire immediate family will be under one roof for Christmas!  I’m going all out.

What’s your holiday tradition each year?  My family tends to do everything in the same order every single time. We’ll attend Christmas Eve with my family at church where following we’ll head back to our home and enjoy vegetable soup together. The boys will put on their Christmas PJs and then we’ll head to bed to wait for Santa. The next morning we’ll all gather at our home to enjoy homemade coffee cake. We’ll open presents one at a time – which will take the entire morning. And then, we’ll enjoy a Christmas feast with ham, hash brown potatoes, green bean casserole, rolls – and of course sugar cookies. (By the way, if you’re wanting to host without the hassle of every single dish, Cracker Barrel has a delicious pumpkin pie and heat n’ serve options, too!)

Visit shop.crackerbarrel.com to bring #JoyToTheTable this holiday season.  Don’t forget they have decor items like the owl they sent me that has the perfect perch on the barn wood I used for our centerpiece.  ❤️
