Sweet flavorable ground beef basic chili recipe made with RedPack tomatoes! 🍅
Chili. Cool fall weather means a warm cup hearty soup that my family just cannot get enough of. And while everyone has a favorite – this Chili recipe is the best. 😉 I like my chili hearty and tomato-y without too much spice. Call me weird but I like to taste my food and leave my tongue from feeling like it’s burning into numbness.
Let’s also talk about how much a bowl of chili can feed on a minimal budget. It’s hearty beans and ground beef pack in the protein while the tomatoes define the flavor. That’s why when RedPack Tomatoes contacted me about sharing about their campaign to Crush Hunger I was all in. Chili is inexpensive to make and it can feed a crowd. A big crowd. And this recipe does just that. I made this recipe for our small group at church and it fed 8 adults and 10 kids.
The key is good tomatoes and RedPack by RedPack is my go-to favorite because they use the highest-quality, freshest, best-tasting tomatoes. A family-made product, family-owned for 75 years, this company understands the value of doing things the right way. Right now when you purchase a can of RedPack Tomatoes in October, RedPack will donate one meal. Their goal is 2 million meals and they’re on their way there.
Are you ready for a great Chili recipe made with RedPack tomatoes? Not only in making this did I feed my family but by buying a few cans of RedPack I also helped crush hunger. It makes a girl feel reeeeaaal good eating that bowl of hot chili on a fall day.
Brown your ground beef until fully cooked. Add celery, peppers and onion and cook until the onions are translucent.
Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce and other ingredients. Mix well and bring to a simmer for one hour.
Serve alongside some warm cornbread – to really bring the chili to life. Anyone love to added crushed corn bread to the top of the chili to enjoy? ….raises hand.
Enjoy!

I love chili, because I can make so many variations! A basic one like this to feed a group, a downright rudimentary one to feed one or two, or a highly complex version – for any number you want!
And while I do like it spicy for myself, I back off if I’m serving others… This sounds good for a crowd.

I would have to make this chili vegetarian for me and keep the meat for my husband. Those canned tomatoes look great and I’m sure they give a wonderful flavor.

Thanks for not making this too spicy. I love spicy, but when I am feeding a crowd, I cater to the crowd.
